Born in Niagara Falls, Canada, Jake Foy was immersed in the creative arts from an early age, nurturing a passion that would shape a dynamic career on stage and screen. At just nineteen, he embarked on his professional journey at Sheridan College's prestigious Music Theatre Performance Program, a breeding ground for Canada’s triple threat talent. An alumnus with distinction, Jake came into his own during his time there, co-directing peers and starring in a record six productions. Among these, his standout performances included the headstrong Melchior Gabor in Spring Awakening and as the bighearted Kevin T. for the original workshop and cast recordings of the Broadway-bound musical sensation Come From Away!

Since stepping into the spotlight, Jake has brought his magnetism to an array of acclaimed theatrical, film and television titles. His screen credits include memorable recurring roles on Netflix's gripping Designated Survivor, Amazon's Wilderness, and in the series finale of the CW's period drama Reign, as the historic King James. For the Hallmark Channel, Jake saddled up as Tuff McMurray, a bullfighting, country-singing cowboy, in the hit series RIDE, and most recently as Kenneth in the Hallmark+ original series The Chicken Sisters alongside Wendie Malick and Lea Thompson.

Behind the camera, Jake’s award-winning direction and passion for musical storytelling have earned him collaborations with internationally renowned artists. His early directorial work, such as Kristine & Kirstine (Second City Toronto) and the festival-favorite Before They Were Them (CBC/CBC Gem), garnered laurels at top festivals in Los Angeles and at the New York Movie Awards. Now, Jake’s creative horizons expand further with his screenwriting debut, More Together—a heartwarming 38-minute musical short based on a true love story, featuring music and lyrics by Broadway's Drew Gasparini. Jake’s reputation as a rising multi hyphenate force in entertainment continues to find its rhythm, seamlessly merging his visionary aesthetic lens with thoughtful dramaturgical insight.
